I studied painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and continued my studies at the Delaware Art Museum School and the Fleisher Art Memorial as well as with independent instructors.
At the Academy, I was trained to paint in oils, which still use and enjoy very much. However, for the past several years, I’ve been painting primarily in gouache (opaque watercolor), a versatile, water-based medium well suited to painting on location, as well as in casein (a milk-based paint), and ink and watercolor.
In recent years I’ve been teaching classes and workshops in painting and drawing at the Delaware Art Museum, the Wallingford, PA Community Arts Center; Jester Artspace and (before they unfortunately had to close their doors) The Delaware College of Art and Design.
You can see some of my work on my website, and Instagram account.
I’m also the author of the popular arts blog, Lines and Colors.
