Location: Historic New Castle, Delaware.
A two-day workshop in painting outdoors with gouache (opaque watercolor). Techniques will include choosing a landscape composition, gouache paint handling, mixing a wide range of colors from a simplified palette, and creating textures for trees, grasses and other landscape elements.
Paint will be provided for the workshop. Here is the Suggested Materials List for other materials.
Cost: $80 for both days ($40 for a single day). Returning Jester Artspace Students: $72 for both days ($36 for a single day).
For those who have taken workshops with me in New Castle previously, my demo will be of a different subject and a different kind of composition. The plan is to paint on the Green in the historic center of the town instead of Battery Park.
