This relaxed, fun class will help you improve your drawing skills and learn to draw what you see more accurately. Practice basic drawing techniques and explore more advanced concepts presented in an easy to understand manner. Learn about line, value, perspective, and composition. Produce quick sketches and complete drawings ranging from still life to the human form using pencil, charcoal and more. Improve your artistic confidence and experience the fun of drawing and sketching.

Materials:
Pencils, 2H, HB and 4B, or similar (or #3, #2 and #1 in quality school pencils, like Ticonderoga), 2 of each
Kneaded eraser (or white “plastic” eraser)
Sketchbook, 8″ x 10″, 9″ x 12″ or similar
Large drawing paper pad, 12″ x 16″ or similar (try Five Below stores for inexpensive art paper)
2 Charcoal pencils, soft & medium
Black colored pencil (Prismacolor or similar)
Pigment marker (e.g., Pigma Micron or similar), black, #2 or #3 (or fountain pen with waterproof ink)
Small watercolor set, can be cheap student grade. Just a few colors.
Watercolor pad, can be small and inexpensive, (Try Five Below stores)
