Past workshop Perspective for Plein Air Painting and Urban Sketching, October 2nd 9:00am – Noon

Saturday, October 2nd 9:00am – Noon
Rain date Sunday 10/3.

Presented by Jester Artspace.
Strengthen your understanding of linear perspective for sketching and painting architectural subjects.

This is not a course in gouache but is relevant for plein air painting.

Students will make a basic perspective drawing, with horizon line, vanishing points and measuring points, and then learn to carry that knowledge into the field and use the underlying principles when sketching or painting. We will also explore a method of drawing perspective lines without vanishing points.

I will supply 12×18″ paper and 18″ rulers. Please being a portable drawing board large enough to fit 12×18″ paper, pencils (preferably dark and light or a pencil and  marker), and an easel, table or extra chair to prop your board on. You will need both hands free to use the ruler and pencil.

$40. Register through Eventbrite.
