Enjoy the fun of “Urban Sketching”, the practice of sketching on location in cities and towns. Urban sketching is a growing movement, with local groups and an international organization devoted to promoting the practice.
In this two-day workshop on the shady green in historic Old New Castle, Delaware, instructor Charley Parker will introduce you to basic tools and techniques for urban sketching, as well as covering more advanced topics like how to draw what you see more accurately.
Topics will include: choosing a subject; arranging a composition; sketching in pencil, pen, markers and watercolor; and judging proportions when sketching houses, streets and other commercial buildings.
